'Riverdale' Star Cami Mendes Joins the adidas Running Family
Debuting new colorways of the adidas Supernova Rise 2.
Adidas Running just announced that Brazilian-American actor and Riverdale star Camila Mendes is officially joining its family. United by a shared passion for running and its community focus, the new partnership encourages those with a “complicated relationship with running” to embrace their unique journey.
Teaming up to launch new colorways of the adidas Supernova Rise 2 sneaker, the announcement comes complete with a campaign that captures Mendes’ journey so far. Designed to “elevate the everyday running experience,” the new silhouettes feature Dreamstrike+ foam and support roads for extra comfort.

“Although I’ve always been physically active, running became a key part of my workout routine while training for my latest role. But I’ll openly admit that running isn’t always easy, and I haven’t always seen myself as a runner,” the actor shares in a press release.
“But I know I’m not alone in that feeling. It’s okay to have a complicated relationship with running – many people do. By embracing both the challenges and the progress, I hope to encourage others to feel more confident in their own journey and enjoy whatever running means to them,” Mendes continues.
