Take a Look at TELFAR's New Bag
Reimagining a New York City staple.
Black-owned and inclusive fashion brand TELFAR adds a new style to its best-selling bag lineup.
If you live in a major city, you know how many tote bags are required for a simple errand run. Inspired by the same plastic bags that New York City banned, TELFAR’s new Plastic Bag is a “forever take on the city’s most iconic disposable silhouette,” NYC’s shopping bags that read “Thank you for shopping.”
According to the press release, the waterproof bags are “Made to carry anything (and everything),” offering a “playful yet practical ode to everyday style.”It’s available in two sizes, regular and jumbo and a range of 11 prints. Priced at $148 USD, the regular Plastic Bag can carry a 13” laptop along with your everyday needs. As for the jumbo bag, it’s carry-on sized — aka use in the city and while on longer trips — for the price of $195 USD. TELFAR added, “That’s right. For a plastic bag.”
Designed for daily wear and tear, the bag is double-lined and waterproof. The handles are elastic and ruched with two side pockets, a slit pocket and a hidden stash pocket for items you’d like to keep lowkey.
