F.C. Como Women Is the Most Stylish Team in Football Right Now

Blending Lake Como elegance with Milanese design, the club’s new Nike jerseys prove beauty and power are one in the same.

As women’s football continues to write its own legacy, reclaiming space, breaking records and redefining what true power looks like on and off the pitch, F.C. Como Women are stepping into their new season with more than just raw ambition. They’re stepping out with style.

The rising Italian club has just unveiled their much anticipated, Nike home and away kits for 2025/2026, marking the next chapter in their journey. The kit design proves that performance sportswear can authentically intersect with craft and femininity, without compromising on the technical capabilities needed to perform at the highest level.

To unveil the new jerseys, a suite at the Bvlgari hotel in London was transformed into a luxe Italian atelier, as ten women became the first in the world to privately preview the new jerseys. Inspired by the high-end world of Italian retail, a tailor and embroiderer were nestled in adjoining rooms, to ensure the perfect fit and custom monogramming for guests to truly personalise the shirt and make it uniquely their own – nodding to the craftsmanship, individuality and attention-to-detail that’s usually reserved for the most elevated of garments, not the humble footie jersey.

An extra-special detail on these ten limited-edition preview jerseys came in the form of an NFC-enabled patch that sits above the hem. Powered by Avery Dennison, this innovative patch leads to a microsite that unlocks season-long access for all F.C. Como Women. Taking fandom to entirely new levels, this pioneering connected tech allows the team to grow its following and community beyond the confines of the Lombardy region.

The F.C. Como Women 25/26 kit itself is a masterclass in refined Italian elegance and the quiet “underdog” confidence the team embodies. Fusing Nike‘s performance innovation with the club’s minimalist design sensibilities first seen on last season’s jerseys. Monochrome white and black remained the colors of choice for the home and away jerseys, respectively. On the center of each sits the intertwined C logo alongside the club’s inaugural year noted in Roman numerals, underscored by an embroidered Nike Swoosh. While the design is pared-back, it’s inherently feminine yet still channels strength and commands attention.

With the timelessly elegant color palette, minimalist details and design inspiration drawn directly from the lake and the region’s rich textile heritage, F.C. Como Women’s aesthetic identity truly feels more akin to a luxury brand than a typical football club.

“Rooted in the elegance of Lake Como and the resilience of our players, this first custom jersey is a symbol of who we are and what we stand for,”shares Victoire Cogevina Reynal, co-founder and co-CEO of Mercury 13. “Designed in close collaboration with [creative studio] Communion, it reflects a bold new chapter — one that honors our ambition, dares into the future and reminds the world: we belong here.”

This bold sartorial statement comes just over a year after the club was acquired by Mercury 13, a groundbreaking all-female-led investment group that’s set on transforming women’s football across the globe. With a mission rooted in equity, access and generating real cultural impact, Mercury 13 is building a new playbook in sport; one that’s equally fluent in finance, football, fashion and fandom. F.C. Como Women is the first point of focus for the group (which is fittingly named after the thirteen pioneering female astronauts in the’60s) as they set out to transform the club into a cultural and competitive powerhouse on a global level.

Considering that Italy’s Serie A Femminile league only achieved professional status in the 2022/2023 season, women’s football is growing rapidly in Italy, spurred by the nation reaching the semi-finals of UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 for the first time in 28 years. We’re truly at the cusp of a new era of women’s football, which is being amplified by initiatives like Mercury 13’s BEYOND program, which helps empower and prepare its professional players for life beyond the pitch. By running sessions on everything from financial education and fertility to personal branding, the group is ensuring that even when player’s careers come to an end, they’re equipped with the knowledge and tools to continue to thrive.

As for what’s next? The Women’s Cup; where F.C. Como Women will battle it out against Juventus, Inter Milan and Atlético de Madrid Femenino. For F.C. Como Women, this is more than a tournament; it’s a statement of intent. The club will debut their new kit on the global stage during this historic moment, proudly wearing and channeling the values of the jerseys that embody elegance, resilience and unapologetic ambition.
