Merrell and Lonely Ghost Just Put a Girly Spin on the Hiking Shoe

Complete with pearls, bows and charms.

Whether you’re scaling mountains or catching the subway, cult-favorite hiking label Merrell and streetwear It-brand Lonely Ghost just dropped the ultimate sneaker collab.

The team-up marks Lonely Ghost’s first-ever footwear collaboration, and takes on a bold reimagining of the Merrell Moab Speed 2 Vent 2K, alongside three full clothing looks. The sneaker is available in two colorways, “Chalk/Mariana” and “Graphite/Ash,” alongside the real showstopper: four interchangeable laces and a charm kit with every pair. Get ready to customize to the max with pearl beaded laces, pink satin bows and little silver adornments. Hiking shoes never looked so good.

Though originally a streetwear brand, Lonely Ghost now identifies as a ‘lifestyle brand,’ encouraging connection through IRL events that cultivating a movement beyond its products. This perfectly blends with Merrell’s aim to get more people to experience the great outdoors. “We believe stepping outside—whether it’s a trail, a city street or your own front step—has the power to reset you,” said Richard McLeod, Chief Marketing Officer at Merrell. Bronson Christensen, Co-Founder of Lonely Ghost, adds, “This collection isn’t just about product, it’s about self-expression, connection and showing up fully as yourself.”

To launch the collab, the brands are hosting two events in New York, one at Leon’s Bagels on September 26 and the other at Pacsun on September 27, with giveaways, DJs and an exclusive opportunity to shop the collection. The sneakers are available to buy on September 27 via the Merrell website, while the full collection is available on the Lonely Ghost website.
