ASICS and Completedworks Just Dropped a Bejeweled Sneaker Collection
Adding a little sparkle to your shoe closet.
ASICS and London-based jewelry label Completedworks have unveiled their first-ever collaboration as part of the sneaker brand’s “Crafts for Mind” project. Marking Completedworks’ first foray into shoe design, a set of beautifully decorated and bejeweled sneakers are hitting the market. Bringing the brand’s signature, ultra-feminine style to ASICS sneaker archives, this is the crossover you never knew you needed.
Using the ASICS GEL-KAYANO 20 as a base, the sparkling add-ons were hand-crafted in Compltedworks’ London studio. Blurring the lines between function and art, ornamental flowers, bows and mismatched gems cover the sneakers, with beaded elements adding a soft, flirty touch to the running shoes. Who says comfort can’t be cute, too?
Available in both black and white, three designs make up the sneaker capsule. ASICS’ “Crafts for Mind” series is an ongoing project inviting a cohort of designers to create new versions of its extensive sneaker collection. As part of the project, a portion of the profits from the collaboration will support Yorkshire Sculpture Park’s Community Program, which delivers artist-led activities in partnership with Appletree Community Garden.
The ASICS x Completedworks collaboration will be available to purchase starting February 21 on the Completedworks website.
