Cecilie Bahnsen Explores "Childhood Rituals" for Pre-Fall 2026
“There’s something beautiful about the idea of dressing up with no particular reason. This collection is a reminder to cherish those moments.”
Cecilie Bahnsen just dropped its new Pre-Fall 2026 campaign, and we’re in awe. Lensed by Nadine Ijewere and styled by Nathan Klein, the new visuals explore themes of “ritual, gesture and atmosphere” in the most cinematic way possible.
“The campaign draws on the intimacy of childhood rituals, dressing in your Sunday best, the quiet moments before stepping into the world,” explains Bahnsen in a press release.
“Nadine captures that in‑between feeling, the imperfection before completion. There’s a softness in her gaze that feels both dreamlike and grounded. The images become portraits of becoming rather than documentation of completion. Friends sharing the small choreography of getting ready. Clothes tied, adjusted, lived in, not saved for later,” the designer continues.
Reimagining the signature Bahnsen bow as a guiding force, this season explores its duality and ability to be soft and structured all at the same time. Showcased through embroidery on dresses, bows in hair and fastenings on garments, the bow is a motif that runs throughout the collection.
“There’s something beautiful about the idea of dressing up with no particular reason. This collection is a reminder to cherish those moments. To dress not because we must, but because we can. For ourselves, with friends, as a kind of shared joy,” Bahnsen adds.
