Havaianas Relaunched Its Original 1962 TRADI Flip-Flop
Now available in four vibrant colorways.
Havaianas is going back to its roots, bringing back its first-ever design from 1962. The TRADI flip-flop was the only silhouette the iconic footwear brand made for three decades, becoming a staple of the Brazilian wardrobe and synonymous with the country’s everyday style. 60 years later, the OG is back and better than ever.
The TRADI relaunch brings back the pared back design, arriving in four different colorways, all on a white base. Available in its original blue, hot pink, black and a limited-edition brown color, the flip-flop’s simple look lands at the perfect time. Though Havaianas are still a Brazilian staple, they have quickly become synonymous with Scandinavian style, too.
Dropping a classic at a time when the brand’s global reach is at an all-time high, this re-release is going to have everyone living the Carioca lifestyle. In a campaign shot by Rio de Janeiro-born photographer Raf Moura, the flip-flops are captured amongst the vibrant colors and buzz of everyday Brazilian life. Stuck in the sand serving as goalposts for a game of futebol or slapping against stone streets, the TRADI’s role in daily rituals is clear to see.
The TRADI flip-flop is available to purchase now on the Havaianas website.
In other news, Moon Boot just dropped its first-ever SS26 collection.
