adidas Originals x ASOS Bring a Feminine Flair to Third Collection
Made for playful styling, the collab serves polka dots, pastels and peplum shapes.
The third installment of the ongoing adidas Originals x ASOS collaboration isn’t just an evolution of its previous collections, it stands alone in its style, cuts and color palette. Setting itself apart from the autumnal mood of the last drop, the range delivers a lighter, more feminine array of sportswear pieces that reimagine the brand’s classic icons through an ASOS lens.
The latest collection features new takes on adidas’ archetypal Firebird tracksuit, collared tops and micro shorts while incorporating fashion-forward shapes and prints. Shorts, for example, are elevated with lace trims and satin materials to soften the sporty base, making them ideal for warm-weather styling. Adding structure to the flowing silhouettes, cotton shirts are sharply tailored with a funnel-neck as the iconic three stripes accentuate the shoulders.
Continuing to weave a feminine thread through the collection, polka dots and a peplum cut are introduced to one track jacket, while another co-ord adopts delicate ruching detail and balloon style pants. Elsewhere, preppy polo tops, statement sets and contemporary separates round out the spring-ready uniform with a playful edge.
To celebrate the launch of the new collection, ASOS takes to the adidas Oxford Street store in London this week with the ultimate pop-up event. Customers can explore the collection, take some snaps in a photo booth and enjoy DJ sets from Cassie and Jada-Kai. A spokesperson at adidas shared “The adidas Originals x ASOS launch builds on the momentum of previous releases while elevating the partnership into a more integrated, immersive experience for our consumers.”
