Nike’s Swoosh Stampede Heads to Nashville With the New Pegasus 42
To launch its latest sports-focused experience, Nike tapped into the city’s vibrant running community.
Suns out and runs are in. The weather is on the up and up and Nike took full advantage this week with a crowd-powered run in Nashville. Lacing up locals in the latest addition to the Nike Pegasus franchise, the Pegasus 42, Nike stormed the southern city with The Swoosh Stampede. A running event centered around community, the Swoosh Stampede tapped into the thriving running scene in Nashville with a one-mile run.
Nike took over Nashville with a high-energy run that traced a route between Broadway and Nissan Stadium, partnering with the Exchange Running Collective – a local community-driven social club and running brand, to get in on the action. They put their endurance to the test with the one-mile run, experiencing firsthand the powerful features of the Pegasus 42 – all while special guests, DJ Boambee and DJ Disko Cowboy kept the vibes up and the energy flowing.
As soon as the sun set, the runners headed to the starting line to kick off the evening of movement, music and mingling. Taking off in waves, Nashville’s running community started off with a sprint then powered up the stairs on the John Seigenthaler bridge with the Pegasus 42 pushing them forward at every turn.
After logging in their laps, the runners relaxed and soaked up the post-run atmosphere. The group was treated to an after party and exclusive access from The Exchange to purchase the Pegasus 42. Amidst the excitement, a pulsating mix by the DJs and some of Nashville’s best bites and bevs, the return of Nike’s fan-favorite franchise was celebrated to the full extent.
