Quenlin Blackwell Just Joined the Nike Family
Our favorite internet it-girl bringing her style to the Swoosh.
Fashion icon, entertainer, and internet muse Quenlin Blackwell is officially teaming up with Nike for a year-long partnership that redefines the intersection of sport, style, and culture. Moving far beyond a standard campaign, this collaboration celebrates a new generation of talent who view performance through the lens of creativity and self-expression.
A major milestone of the partnership sees Blackwell lacing up for the Nike After Dark Tour: LA 13.1 on October 24 in Los Angeles. Documenting her evolution over an intensive 12-week running journey, she is bringing her trademark humor and authenticity to the pavement. Beyond the race, fans can also look forward to Blackwell serving as the face of upcoming Nike campaigns.
For the Texas native, joining the Swoosh family is a deeply personal, full-circle moment. In a press release, Blackwell said “Growing up in Texas, my mom had a one-shoe-a-year rule. My first pair of Nikes were white Air Force 1s from the Nike Factory Store, and I kept those shoes immaculate. Getting to build with Nike is a full-circle moment my seventh-grade self would genuinely not believe.
I’ve been performing my whole life through cheer, on the internet, on runways and on camera, so I love that this partnership lets me bring all of those worlds together. Training for the Nike After Dark Tour has reminded me that performance can look like a lot of different things, and I’m excited to build with Nike in a way that feels true to how my generation moves through culture.”
By bridging the gap between high-energy internet culture and athletic performance, Blackwell and Nike are proving that sport isn’t just about crossing the finish line, but how you look, feel and express yourself along the way.
In other news, adidas and JENNIE are teaming up for another collaboration.
