Take a First Look at The Wing's New Brooklyn Location
A place for women to work and collaborate.
The Wing, New York City’s uber-popular workspace and social club, is set to open its newest location in Brooklyn next month. We got a first look at the women’s-centric Soho club last year.
According to Vogue, the 1 Main Street location was originally an abandoned tape factory. Similar to the Flatiron District and Soho clubs, the Brooklyn “Wing” will be a place for women to work, collaborate and most importantly connect. Architect Alda Ly and interior designer Chiara DeRege of CDR & Co both spearheaded the well-designed project. The newest space includes an atrium, a ground level storefront, a library, a locker room and a glam room.
Alda Ly shared details on The Wing Dumbo with Vogue below:
“We wanted to maintain the industrial-factory character of the building. We knew immediately that the main double-height atrium would be the perfect location for the library, both functionally and metaphorically. This will be the heart of The Wing’s social and events space.”
The sweeping, open layout space will open in February. Take a look at an official rendering photo above. Head to The Wing’s website for more information on applying for membership.
