Daniëlle Cathari Launches Her Own Brand and Debut Collection
From adidas Originals collaborator to solo designer.
Daniëlle Cathari has been christened as somewhat of a golden child of the streetwear community. This year alone, the Amsterdam-based designer released two collaborative collections with adidas Originals which swiftly sold out. One capsule was presented during the Spring/Summer 2018 run of New York Fashion Week, while the other was a recent restock. Her love and eye for deconstructed garments has undoubtedly catapulted her into the spotlight. Now, Cathari gears up to debut her own brand.
The capsule collection titled “DC DROP1” features the juxtaposition of complementing contrasts paired with Cathari’s eye for design. The range is set to consist of a 6-piece unisex wardrobe, constructed with heavy-weight cotton tee, sweaters and sweatpants. The color palette is made up of rich hues including white, tan, royal blue and grey. One significant design cue includes a small spider printed on one sleeve. It appears in the same spot where Daniëlle has a spider tattoo.
The ”DC DROP1” capsule collection will be available online at daniellecathari.com on November 16.
