BTS Wins 'TIME' Magazine's 2018 Person of the Year Reader's Poll

Beating out Planet Earth.

K-pop group BTS celebrated global recognition in 2018, & its U.S. prominence saw to an album debut, LOVE YOURSELF: Tear, that landed at number one on the US Billboard Chart – history in the making.

Another accolade to be achieved is winning ‘TIME‘ Magazine’s 2018 Person of the Year online reader’s poll. BTS edged out Planet Earth in second place, outpaced by 0.12%, Thai cave divers, Michelle Obama and other artists, world leaders and politicians.

TIME’s 2018 Person of the Year, selected by magazine editors, will be revealed on December 11.
