ALYX Just Upgraded the Trendy Sock Sneaker with a Hiking Sole
Cop or drop?
There’s no doubt that the sock sneaker has become one of the most popular silhouettes in the industry, with Balenciaga‘s iconic Speed Trainer paving the way for brands like Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Acne Studios, Reebok and more to drop their own iteration of the sleek shoe. The latest brand to hop on the trend is Matthew Williams‘ streetwear label ALYX – but with a twist. Instead of following the previously seen futuristic and sleek approach, this shoe features a chunky hiking sole to juxtapose the slim upper. Crafted from a navy blue knit upper and a white Vibram sole, the shoe is both comfortable and right on trend.
ALYX has been dropping several must-cop pieces for the spring, including a range of swimsuits as well as a blush pink T-shirt sporting a Powerpuff Girl print. If you’re looking to add the hike-inspired shoe to your rotation, you can cop it over at HBX where it retails at $615 USD.
