Virgil Abloh's First Louis Vuitton Collection Includes These Luxe, Red Sunglasses
And a closer look at a new sneaker.
Earlier in the week Virgil Abloh documented the progress behind his debut collection with Louis Vuitton. What was teased on Instagram were new sneakers, handbags with porcelain chain straps and tailored yet classic Abloh-engineered apparel.
In the new post on Instagram, the sneaker’s outsole is revealed to have ”VUITTON”-branding and red paneling on an otherwise gray sole. It’s hard to make out the upper but a closer look at A$AP Rocky’s pair in the next image reveals a black and grey leather upper sporting an upwards-angled “408” tag on its strap.
New sunglasses also debut – a cherry red, square-cut shape with luxe gold trim. Virgil named it “1.1 millionaires” and wrote “things that the runway show might not show” hinting that there may be more than meets the eye on the runway.
