The Nike Air Max 97 Is the Latest to Receive a "Just Do It" Rework
Logo mania continues.
Since its first Air Max 1 release earlier in May, Nike has been introducing a steady stream of popular models reworked with the brand’s eye-catching “Just Do It” motif. Ever-growing in its popularity, the JDI pattern soon found its way onto the Air Max 95, EXP-X14 and, of course, the Air Force 1. For its latest iteration, Swoosh brings the slogan-heavy theme to the cult status Air Max 97.
Taking on a largely black colorway, the retro model is decorated with an allover Just Do It print throughout its mudguard, as well as lowermost racing stripe. Striking accents of orange are also used throughout the shoe, seen in rectangular Nike branding throughout the JDI print, as well as in a narrow strip underneath the toe on the outsole. Contrasting the dark obsidian of the upper, a crisp white midsole houses a vibrant orange Air Max bubble that complements the palette of the sneakers added color elements.
Although details are still sparse regarding an exact release date, the Air Max 97 “Just Do It” is slated to release later this fall. The sneakers will be available at select Nike stockists and at nike.com, retailing for $170 USD. For more Nike releases, take a peep at the new Air Max 270 Futura arriving in red, white and blue.
