Your First Look at the Giant, Floating 'KAWS:HOLIDAY' Figure in Seoul
Prepare to be stunned.
First announced back in June, it was revealed that artist KAWS would be debuting a staggering 91-foot floating figure in Seoul’s Seokchon Lake. Given the title KAWS:HOLIDAY, the work now makes its premiere on the South Korean capital’s large body of water. Rendered in the likeness of the artist’s signature BFF character in grey, the public artpiece lays on its back, peacefully floating in place near the lake’s shore. Take a closer look at the installation in the gallery above. KAWS:HOLIDAY will be on display from now until August 19. To coincide with the event, KAWS will also be releasing an exclusive capsule collection of limited edition goods such as a floating bed, umbrella, towel and more.
