SOCIAL WORK Is All About Simplicity in Its SS19 Lookbook

Elevated workwear and interesting silhouettes.

Founded in 2017, streetwear label SOCIAL WORK was founded by two Parsons School of Art and Design graduates, Chenghui Zhang and Qi Wang. For its Spring/Summer 2019 collection, the brand focused on bold colors and statement pieces. Utilizing hues like bright reds, yellows and blues, the range also sports words like “CENSORED” and “THINKER” throughout some of the garments.

The collection is both minimal, yet incredibly eye-catching. From its interesting silhouettes, to experimental tailoring, the pieces include references from the ’60s as well as inspiration from Chinese workwear uniforms. Naming the label “SOCIAL WORK,” the two designers emphasize the importance of transparency for their brand, always putting worker’s rights in focus.

Take a look at the Spring/Summer 2019 lookbook in the gallery above, and see more from the brand on its Instagram.
