Tinashe's "Like I Used To" Is a Break-Up Anthem
Things won’t be the same.
Fresh off the heels of her sophomore album Joyride, Tinashe has released a new break up anthem entitled “Like I Used To.” The slow-tempo R&B track is a reminder of things that used to be. She sings: “Never be the same, won’t trust you like I used to/Wake up in the morning I can’t f*ck you like I used to.”
Despite the ending of the relationship she’s still comes out on top: “I had to let go, I’m in my bag bro/If it ain’t about the cash flow. I’m sorry gotta pass on/I gotta pass on you.” The empowering single is brings a welcomed changed the landscape of sappy love songs.
