Kanye, North and Saint West Are 'Harper's Bazaar's September Issue Cover Stars

Keeping it in the family.

It’s been a big week for magazine covers, thanks to the big reveal of all those September issues. Between Rihanna on British Vogue, Beyoncé on American Vogue and Slick Woods and her baby bump gracing the front of Elle UK, newsstands will never have looked better. Even more so considering Harper’s Bazaar has tapped Kanye West and two of his children, North and Saint, as some of the cover stars if its “Icons” issue.

Renowned French editor Carine Roitfeld, who alongside running CR Fashion Book is the global fashion director for Harper’s Bazaar, has also selected other celebrity families for issue. Those featured include Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, Erykah Badu, Bruce Springsteen, Steven Tyler, Lionel Ritchie and Billy Idol, alongside their offspring. Additionally, celebrity spawn like Paris Jackson and The Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards’ daughters Theodora and Alexandra are pictured, albeit without their parents. Roitfeld discussed her concept for the issue with WWD, stating “I’m a very family-oriented person, so I wanted to meet the families of some of my biggest music idols,” before adding “It was amazing to see that some of the industry’s most groundbreaking rock stars have a sense of tenderness with their loved ones — even if they are adults.”

The cover that will hit newsstands will feature Bruce Springsteen and daughter Jessica on the front, however subscribers will receive the exclusive Kanye West cover. With information on the high-profile interviews scarce at the moment, we do have one quote from Harper’s Bazaar‘s interview with West, which was shared with WWDin which he shares his dreams for his children’s future, stating “I hope my children never lose their confidence to society.”

Stay tuned for more info on further September issues. In related news, have you seen Hailey Baldwin’s Vogue Japan cover?
