COMME des GARÇONS Debuts Sneaker Jewelry on a New Nike Collaboration
Revealed at the Rei Kawakubo’s Spring/Summer 2019 show.
Rei Kawakubo does what Rei Kawakubo does best, and at COMME des GARÇONS‘ Spring/Summer 2019 collection at Paris Fashion Week it opened up another conversation about the human body and shapes. Under knotted upper-weaving on tailored separates and geometric midsections, the brand’s new collaboration with Nike was revealed.
The COMME des GARÇONS x Nike Shox appropriately named with its Shox columned system construction along the entire sole unit walked the show, in white and black. Even more telling to its origins was the CdG chain wrapped around the midsection – a matching look with the garments – and a Swoosh swathed in cloth.
