Bottega Veneta Unveils Its Effortlessly Stylish SS19 Campaign
The first under the creative direction of Daniel Lee.
Bottega Veneta has revealed its first campaign since the appointment of Daniel Lee as the brand’s new Creative Director. Arguably one of this season’s chicest, the Spring/Summer 2019 campaign shot by Tyrone Lebon presents Lee’s refreshing vision for the storied Italian luxury fashion house.
Shot in a private property on the Neapolitan island of Ischia, the clean, tasteful imagery oozes an unpretentiously cool feel that is rare to come by these days amongst logo-heavy trends. The styling is uncomplicated and actually wearable, with model Kaya Wilkins dressed in a white tank top paired with almost tomboyish basketball shorts made out of black leather. Saskia De Brauw too is seen donning a minimalist look, draped in nothing but a stunning leather trench coat and some neutral-colored pumps. Elevated accessories like a long, gold chain necklace and a tan leather tote bag are sprinkled throughout the spread as well.
If any of these remind you Philo-era Céline, that’s because Lee used to be the French brand’s head of womenswear design. Now in his new role, the designer continues to show his deep understanding of how the modern woman aspires to dress in her everyday life. From creating timeless silhouettes to delivering quality leather goods, Lee’s Bottega Veneta will be one to watch in the upcoming seasons.
Keep your eyes peeled for more from the brand as it is slated to present its Fall/Winter 2019 collection at Milan Fashion Week in February. In the meantime, scroll through the gallery above to see the SS19 campaign.
