JW Anderson Restocks the Coveted Converse Run Star Hike Sneaker
Arriving alongside a matching canvas Cap Bag.
UPDATE (December 4, 2019): In addition to the previous restock of the Converse Run Star Hike in white, JW Anderson is bringing back the platform silhouette in a black colorway, as well. Sporting an all-black upper contrasting against the off-white midsole, the shoe is an elevated take on the classic Chuck Taylor sneaker.
Just like the white iteration, the sneaker arrives alongside JW Anderson’s signature Cap Bag, this time taking on a black colorway contrasted by white lining at the zip closure. To finish it off, the piece also sports small detailing in a bright red hue across the stitching and zip.

ORIGINAL COPY (November 9, 2019): JW Anderson has been collaborating with sneaker giant Converse on a handful of releases, and ahead of the upcoming holiday season, the two are bringing back the coveted Converse Run Star Hike sneaker in its crisp, white colorway. Boasting a classic Chuck Taylor upper, the shoe sits atop a platform sole with jagged outsole detailing in a gum tone as well as a striking blue, finished off with a black star motif embossed in the heel.
Along with the sneaker, JW Anderson has given its signature Cap Bag an all-over canvas makeover, featuring the label’s recognizable logo embroidered at front, as well as blue leather detailing across the brim. Jonathan Anderson found inspiration for the new bag on a trip to Boston, where the designer went to a Boston Red Sox game at Fenway park.
The Converse Run Star Hike will be releasing online at Converse along with the Cap Bag within the next few weeks. Make sure to stay tuned as an official release date has yet to be announced.
