McDonald's Is Bringing Back Iconic Happy Meal Toys, Including Tamagotchi and Furby
15 beloved toys are returning.
To celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first-ever Happy Meal, McDonald’s is launching a “Surprise Happy Meal” featuring its most popular accompanying toys from the past four decades. Customers will be able to snag 15 throwbacks including the Cowboy McNugget, Power Rangers, Patti the Platypus Beanie Baby, and ’90s favorites, the Tamagotchi and Furby. Two additional toys, 101 Dalmatians and Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey Mouse, will only be available in the U.S.
Originally introduced as the Circus Wagon Happy Meal in 1979, the red-boxed kid’s meal has become a childhood staple. Its toys, which have reflected cultural phenomenons over the decades, are now considered collector’s items and often sold as complete sets on sites such as eBay.
McDonald’s Surprise Happy Meals will be available at select McDonald’s in over 90 countries from November 7 to November 11. Check out the full list of toys below.
