StockX to Give Away 30 Pairs of the colette x Air Jordan 1 Retro High Sneakers
All proceeds go to Oceana, an organization committed to the protection and restoration of our oceans.
Last year, Nike gifted Sarah Andelman‘s iconic concept shop colette a unique take on the classic Air Jordan 1 Retro High, making it one of the most coveted collaborations in sneaker history. Just before 2019 ends, StockX has announced that it will be giving away the last 30 pairs of the silhouette.
The pair features colette’s signature blue hue and pearly white detailing on the lateral, ankle collar and midsole. Notable details include a “1997” white embroidery on the left pair, “2017” on the right along with “Bonjour” and “Au Revoir” on the bottoms of the shoes.
Sarah Andelman told HYPEBAE exclusively:
“I’m really proud of the collaboration — it was such an honor to work with the Jordan Brand team on the design and the end-result is so special. Now, two years later and with only 30 pairs left, I knew that I wanted to partner with a charity that promises the protection of our planet to celebrate this moment. When you see animals living on picturesque islands that are full of plastic bottles and garbage, it is impossible to remain indifferent. After doing some research and identifying OCEANA as the leader within this space, I knew that they were the perfect partner for this initiative.”
In order for you to enter the giveaway, all you have to do is to simply make a donation of $20 USD, with the net proceeds going towards Oceana, an organization committed to the protection and restoration of our oceans. The giveaway has officially started on StockX’s website and will end on December 20 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
