The ‘Uncut Gems’ Immersive Pop-Up in New York Will Feature $1 Million USD Worth of Jewelry
Guests can expect a free jewelry cleaning station and an exhibit featuring props from the movie.
Following its successful premiere on December 13, the Safdie Brothers’ Uncut Gems starring Adam Sandler is about to become A24’s highest-grossing film, the Deadline reports. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the crime thriller’s fictional KMH Gems & Jewelry will be having a four-day pop-up at New York‘s Diamond District this coming weekend.
The immersive experience will showcase gem-encrusted designs from New York jewelers such as Avianne & Co. and Trax NYC. Customers will be able to purchase women’s and men’s jewelry including 18-karat gold rings, bracelets, pendant necklaces, and other accessories, all worth a combined total of $1 million USD or more. In addition to the ground floor of the pop-up, not-for-sale props from the movie like the crystal-covered Furbies, basketballs and goldfish in water glasses will be showcased.
The second floor of the store will be the Uncut Gems museum featuring a “replica of the KMH jewelry counter, as well as an exhibit of the film’s costumes, props and production materials, such as The Weeknd‘s wig and a Nike shoe worn by NBA star-turned-actor Kevin Garnett.” In addition, guests will be able to receive giveaways – an A24’s magazine, KMH water bottles and temporary tattoos – and can purchase the film’s soundtrack in either the CD or vinyl version for $16 USD and $30 USD respectively.
The Uncut Gems pop-up will run from December 20 to December 24. For more information, visit A24’s website.
