UPDATE: Rihanna’s Luxury Fashion Brand With LVMH Backing, Has Been Confirmed

Get your coins ready.

UPDATE:Business of Fashion has confirmed that Rihanna will launch a luxury fashion brand with the backing of LVMH. The line is set to include men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, leather goods, accessories and more.

BOF also reports that the launch has been given the name Project Loud France. According to previous French filings Rihanna has shelled out about €29.9 million EUR (approx. $34 million USD) worth of contributions to the business. LVMH has dedicated €30 million EUR (approx. $34.1 million USD) in cash, making the conglomerate the majority owner. At the moment there is no official launch date.

Stay tuned here as more details emerge.

Following news that Rihanna is suing her father over misuse of the Fenty trademark, rumors have now started circulating that RiRi is set to launch her own luxury house with LVMH.

WWD has reported that Rihanna has been in secret discussions with the conglomerate and that select employees from other LVMH labels like Louis Vuitton and Celine have already been handpicked to work on the project. At this time, there’s been no confirmation from either Rihanna or LVMH on the alleged partnership, but there’s no doubt the star is bankable, as the success of her Fenty Beauty line and Savage X Fenty lingerie line proves.

Stay tuned for further updates and in the meantime, check out those new FENTY branded sunglasses Rihanna stepped in – could these be a teaser of what’s to come from the potential luxury brand?
