An Exclusive Backstage Look at sacai's FW19 Runway Show at PFW

Featuring Kaia Gerber and Binx Walton.

Paris Fashion Week has just wrapped up, and we’ve seen countless of shows from all the biggest labels including Chanel, Dior, Louis Vuitton and so many more. This season we also got a look at some of the most eye-catching street style, which ranged from sleek sneakers and statement bags, to full-on looks that you can’t miss.

We also had the chance to get a backstage look at Chitose Abe‘s anticipated Fall/Winter 2019 range for her label sacai, which featured models like Kaia Gerber and Binx Walton. The presentation took the audience into Paris’ extravagant Palais De Tokyo, where the show was put on in a tunnel-like basement. As attendees entered the dark, black-lit room, the suspense was unlike no other. Once the lights turned on, we saw a wide range of layered coats and outerwear crafted from thick materials like heavy knit, faux fur, denim and wool – all with a touch of Chitose’s unique and effortless craftsmanship.

In our exclusive backstage look, we managed to get up close with the exciting range, and got a detailed look at all the materials, patterns, accessories and beauty from the show. After working as a pattern cutter under Rei Kawakubo, Chitose Abe started sacai in 1999, and has since become one of fashion’s favorite brands and one of the biggest shows of Paris Fashion Week.

Take a look at our exclusive behind-the-scenes snaps in the gallery above, and for more from Paris Fashion Week, don’t forget to check out all the shows you can’t miss here.
