Inspired by ’80s “club leisure.”

Following up to the partnership’s buzzy Season 4 collection launched back in November 2018, Alexander Wang and adidas Originals now returns with a long-awaited Season 5 instalment of the longstanding collaborative project. For the latest Spring/Summer 2019 release, the New York-based designer introduces a program heavily inspired by his signature party spirit, tinged with a distinct air of ’80s-era sportiness. The launch features both apparel and footwear styles that can easily be integrated into either a club or gym setting.

Highlights in the collection include various body-hugging silhouettes such as cycling shorts, cropped tees, bodysuits and leggings. To contrast these pieces, Wang also introduces gym shorts, long-sleeve shirts, track jackets, sweatpants and socks. On many of the pieces are printed nostalgic graphics that are true to the spirit of the ’80s, seamlessly adding to the “club leisure” aesthetic as described by the designer himself. Rounding off the collection are four new sneaker arrivals, including the high-top AW BBall leather sneaker completely dipped in an eye-catching shade of millennial pink.

The adidas Originals by Alexander Wang Season 5 collection is slated to drop in-store on Saturday, April 20. You can see every single item from the collaboration in the gallery below.
