Watch Nike's New Skateboarding Film, 'Gizmo'

Featuring Elissa Steamer, Leo Baker, Leticia Bufon and more.

Nike SB has just released a new skate video titled Gizmo. The film is a tribute to Elissa Steamer, who has been paving the way for female skaters since the 1980s. She coined the nickname “Gizmo” from her father and was one of the first women to gain pro status in skateboarding history.

Directed by Jason Hernandez, the video features familiar faces such as Leo Baker, Leticia Bufoni, Sarah Meurle, Josie Millard and of course, Elissa Steamer herself. The video was filmed over the course of a year and covers skaters in places all around the world including North America, China, Europe and Australia.

While inclusivity in the skateboarding community has come a long way, the film encourages people from all walks of life to pick up a skateboard and sparks conversation around expanding skate culture. Take a look at the mesmerizing video above and for more skateboarding content, check out our interview with The Skate Kitchen.
