Uniqlo UT Announces Collaboration With Sailor Moon, Dropping Later This Summer

The range celebrates the cartoon’s upcoming two-part movie.

After revealing a limited-edition Pokémon-collaboration, Uniqlo UT unveils yet another partnership. This time around the global brand is teaming up with one of the anime community’s biggest cartoons, Sailor Moon. The collab will feature T-shirts in celebration of creator Naoko Takeuchi’s original Sailor Moon manga.

Imagery of the collection has surfaced on Sora News 24, including shots of tees designed with Sailor Moon herself on the front and other nostalgic options. One T-shirt features Princess Serenity and Prince Endymion on the back. Additional designs arrive with a mix of English and Japanese text. According to Sora News 24, the collection is slated to release in 26 countries.

The collaboration ties into the announcement of two new Sailor Moon films. Titled Sailor Moon Eternal, the two-part animated movie which is set to release in 2020 has roots that link back to the original show from the ’90s. This will be the anime’s first theatrical release since 1995.

The Sailor Moon x Uniqlo UT collection will reportedly price out at $14 USD per tee and is slated to release in late August. Stay tuned here as more news emerges on the collaboration. Head over to the Uniqlo UT’s official website, for more information.
