Footaction’s "Creative Control" Panel Will Take Place During Hypebae Fall Formal

With boundary-breaking, female creatives.

If you haven’t heard the news yet, next month Hypebae will be celebrating our 3-year anniversary with Fall Formal, a nostalgic, dance-inspired party in New York City. To commemorate the occasion, we are joining forces with Footaction to host a panel that will center around boundary-breaking creatives and multi-hyphenates who are forging new ground within their respective industries.

The panel will be comprised of stylist and creative consultant Rachael Wang, designer Pierre Davis of No Sesso and Candace Marie, a social media creative. Moderated by founder of Magic in Her Melanin Shavone Charles, the creative professionals will discuss their unlikely career paths, offer inspiration on breaking the status quo and reveal how they hope to reshape the perception of traditional career trajectories. Serving as proof that there’s no one way to pursue your dreams, the talent will offer insight on breaking industry norms and how emerging creatives can drive change through their creative and professional endeavors.

Serving as a kick-off after the panel discussion, a series of on-site activations including sneaker customization workshops in partnership with Footaction and PUMA will be led by Nicole McLaughlin and Sue Tsai, granting access to VIPs and attendees who will have the chance to design their own custom footwear in the process.

The one-hour panel and Q&A will take place at 1:30 p.m. EST on September 5 in New York City. Head to our RSVP page for more information and sign up to attend.
