Disney's 'High School Musical' TV Series Just Released Its First Trailer
The start of something new.
Calling all High School Musical fans, Disney is coming out with a TV show titled High School Musical: The Musical: The Series. Available exclusively on Disney+‘s streaming service, the television series is a major throwback to the days when Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were our favorite on-screen and off-screen couple.
In the trailer, the series takes place in a world where students attend the real-life East High. Set 15 years after the High School Musical movies were filmed, the entire school is obsessed with the movies. Filled with comedy, romance, rivalry and drama, the story revolves around the high school students who are putting on the musical theatre version of the movie. Similar to the title of the series, the 10-episode show is very meta and is filmed documentary-style. The teaser features “Stick to the Status Quo” from the original movies and hints that more of the hit songs will be covered in the show. Watch the video above to see for yourself.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Series is set to release on Disney+ on November 12. While you’re waiting for the show to launch, here is a list of movies and shows to watch if you’re obsessed with the Euphoria cast.
