Netflix's Teen Rom-Com 'Tall Girl' Is the Movie We've All Been Waiting For
We almost cried watching the trailer.
After unveiling the main character in its upcoming Selena Quintanilla series, Netflix releases the trailer for its newest teen movie, Tall Girl. The high school drama is set to follow the story of Jodi played by Ava Michelle who is known for being the tallest girl in her school. An official press release of the film notes that she has felt uncomfortable in her own skin for her entire life.
Throughout the trailer, viewers get an idea of her insecurities surrounding her height and also, the bullying she experiences. The plot of the movie is also made clear in the clip — she will eventually overcome her lack of self-esteem. This is alluded to after Luke a new foreign exchange student enters her life. After he is introduced it appears she becomes a part of a love triangle with her arch-nemesis.
