Outdoor Voices Drops Color-Blocked RecTrek Shorts for Hiking

Look good while sweating.

From Louis Vuitton to JW Anderson and even Ganni and Off-White™, hiking-inspired footwear is one of the biggest trends of this year. Now, Outdoor Voices has released hiking shorts to go with all your hiking boots.

The practical yet chic shorts are part of the RecTrek collection – Outdoor Voice’s series made of wind- and water-resistant material. Lightweight and crisp, the RecTrek Hike Shorts come in three color-blocked colorways – “Zion,” “Glacier” and “Sequoia.” “Zion” is a mix of peach, burnt orange and brown. “Glacier” features three shades of blue – aqua, sapphire and navy. “Sequoia” comes in pale, olive and forest green. The wavey pattern of the shorts is reminiscent of camouflage but is sleeker and inspired by rolling hills and landscapes.

As for the design of the shorts themselves, they are created to be durable, abrasion-resistant and flexible. The waistband includes a built-in webbing belt that’s easily adjustable. To make sure all your items are secure, the back pockets have zips and the front pockets are made of mesh to ensure easy access to your phone for those Instagram-worthy treks.

Scroll through the lookbook in the gallery above modelled by Salem Mitchell and Folasade Adeoso. The shorts are available now on Outdoor Voices’ online store for $65 USD. For more summer shorts options, take a look at a list of our favorites.
