BAPE Releases Limited Gold Version of Its Rolex-Inspired Watch, BAPEX

Only 50 pieces are available worldwide.

We’ve recently seen an affordable rose gold watch from adidas, and now BAPE has released a limited iteration of its BAPEX timepiece, inspired by Rolex. You can cop this watch just in time for back-to-school season.

The timepiece arrives in an all-over gold tone from the watch face and case to the band, with the bezel adorned with fake diamonds. The indices are embellished with cubic zirconia, while a date display is placed at the three o’clock mark. Atop the glow-in-the-dark watch face, A Bathing Ape‘s Ape Head is placed at the 12 o’clock position.

With only 50 pieces available worldwide, each of the BAPE Type 1 BAPEX Gold sports an individual number on the back. Priced at ¥69,800 JPY (approximately $656 USD), it’s available for purchase now at BAPE locations. Scroll down below to take a closer look.
