Calling all Sanrio mega-fans.
When you think of fashion icons, Hello Kitty may not spring immediately to mind however it’s safe to say that loveable Sanrio character does have an iconic sense of style. With that in mind, Amsterdam-based fashion designer JimmyPaul selected her as his muse for his SS20 collection which hit the runway during London Fashion Week.
Coinciding with Hello Kitty’s 45th anniversary, the show saw the catwalk debut of the legend herself. The offbeat collection comprised of both wearable and more extravagant pieces, ranging from blue Hello Kitty-print tracksuits and T-shirts to voluminous fuzzy skirts featuring that signature red bow. Our standout pieces, however, had to the the chic tweed coat-dress with Hello Kitty’s face outlined in red satin ribbon and the show-stopping dress created from multiple plush Hello Kitty toys.
