Lizzo Makes History as the First-Ever Female Artist to Headline Bonnaroo Festival

Are you ready to see herstory?

While the lineup for festivals like Coachella and Lovebox have been announced, “Truth Hurts” singer Lizzo has shared that she is the first-ever female artist to headline Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee. Celebrating its 19th anniversary this year, the festival will also be featuring big names including Megan Thee Stallion, Lana Del Rey and Miley Cyrus.

“It’s about damn time! Y’all ready to see herstory, bitch?” The artist took to Instagram to celebrate the milestone. Bonnaroo has previously been close to headlining female artists like Björk in 2013, but ultimately has never included any in its top three names. Lizzo will be performing on the third day alongside Flume, Yaeji and more.

Spanning across 10 stages, Bonnaroo will be taking place this summer at Great Stage Park in Tennessee from June 11 to 14. Peep the full lineup below, and head over to the festival’s official page to purchase tickets.
