NOAH Releases Tees to Support Australia's Devastating Bushfires
All proceeds go towards the country’s largest wildlife rescue organization.
Australia has taken news headlines all over the world with its bushfire crisis, which has burned over 32,000 square miles of land. As big names in the fashion industry including Gucci, Bottega Veneta and Balenciaga have pledged to support, NOAH has also joined in on the cause by revealing a set of tees with all proceeds going to the country’s largest wildlife rescue organization, WIRES.
“Please consider sharing this with friends to help us maximize support. If you don’t like the T-shirt, you can always just donate to WIRES directly,” the description reads, followed by numbers to show how critical the fire has been to the home of kangaroos and koalas: “This is larger than the Amazon fires by 7,000 square miles and 80 times larger than the 2019 fires in California.”
Arriving in bright yellow and white, each tee sports a koala bear holding up an “Australia” graphic along with NOAH’s signature branding placed on the left wrist. According to the product page, this item “can be worn as a symbol to show you’re willing to help, or as a scarlet letter, acknowledging the crimes we’ve all had a hand in committing that have led us to this point.” Peep the gallery above to take a closer look.
You can now pre-order the Australia Benefit long-sleeve tee at NOAH’s website where it retails for $52 USD. In related news, Rowing Blazers has announced it will donate funds to support the cause.

It’s hard to fully understand the extreme nature of the fires in Australia. The numbers we’re hearing are so enormous as to seem abstract. Take “32,000 square miles burned.” This is larger than the Amazon fires by 7,000 square miles, and 80 times larger than the 2019 fires in California, which seemed like the end of the world to us here in the States. 80 times larger! – How about this? 1,000,000,000 animals dead. One Billion. This may be just an estimate, but at this level, does it really matter if it’s a little exaggerated? It’s so far beyond the pale of the brush fires common in Australia that are a normal part of the natural cycles of its ecosystems, it could be off by half and still be almost impossible to comprehend. – This leap in devastation was brought about by extreme droughts and heat driven by climate change, which is driven by human behavior. We’re all responsible for this, and we must fix the problem. It’s that simple. – This t-shirt can be worn as a symbol to show you’re willing to help, or as a scarlet letter, acknowledging the crimes we’ve all had a hand in committing that have led us to this point. Take your pick. We will donate all proceeds to WIRES, Australia’s largest wildlife rescue organization, in hopes that will help ease the nightmare scale of suffering we’ve inflicted on animals in one of the world’s most diverse habitats.
