Dion Lee Highlights Nature in Co-Ed SS21 Collection
Featuring statement Monstera leaf motifs.
Following up on his post-modern Fall/Winter 2020 collection, Dion Lee has now returned with a nature-inspired range for Spring/Summer 2021. Highlighting global climate change, the Australian, New York-based designer virtually showcases a lineup of minimal, tonal looks with a neutral color palette.
The key inspiration is seen from the very first outfit, which features a leather top in the shape of a Monstera leaf. Accompanying the statement piece is a pair of beige bike shorts with cut-out details at the waist. Fringes are continuously seen throughout the collection on a series of camouflage-printed shorts, pants and skirts that are styled with matching items like thigh-high boots. Furthering the natural aesthetic, models are seen wearing ribbed knit pieces to balance out the patterning. Elsewhere, the lookbook explores a black and white color palette with lace-up tops and tied-up dresses, in addition to green and pastel pink shades. Rounding off the collection, Lee revisits the large leaf motif on a men’s top and a black mini dress.
