Kim Jones Taps Kenny Scharf for Upcoming Dior Collection
The New York-based artist’s creations will be revealed in Dior’s Pre-Fall 2021 collection.
Kim Jones has been at the forefront of collaborations, working with names like Shawn Stussy, Yoon Ahn, Matthew Williams, Hajime Sorayama, KAWS and more in his role as menswear creative director at Dior. Now, Jones has revealed that he will be working with New York artist Kenny Scharf for Dior’s upcoming Pre-Fall 2021 collection.
Kenny Scharf has previously worked with labels like The Hundreds and Heron Preston, as well as ZARA and G-SHOCK, but this will mark the artist’s first luxury collaboration. Scharf’s cartoonish illustrations has become some of the most recognizable graphics in the street art sphere, and the artist has gained a big following from his cult-favorite works.
The collaboration will be revealed in Dior’s Pre-Fall 2021 collection, and will feature a handful of men’s ready-to-wear, accessories and footwear. The range will debut on December 8 on Dior’s website, and will be featured in a Beijing-exclusive event shortly after.
