Rising Designer Di Petsa Launches SS21 Jewelry Collection

Hand-carved pieces inspired by Greek mythology.

Continuing a successful year of being recognized by names like Gigi Hadid and Luigi and Iango, rising designer Di Petsa has now launched a new line of jewelry. The pieces are captured in a series of imagery titled The Self Birth of Venus and created in collaboration with nail artist Sylvie Macmillan.

The designs are an expansion of the creative’s Greek-inspired aesthetics that highlight the female body. “When you wear an item by Di Petsa, you feel transformed. Not only do you now feel like a fragment of Greek mythology but your mindset changes. Parts of your body that you hadn’t given much consideration or love before, suddenly make sense,” Macmillan speaks on the collection.

Each of the jewels holds a spiritual meaning through the use of hand-carved gems such as amethyst, selenite, citrine, lapis lazuli and moonstone. These “healing stones” are accompanied by gold and silver shapes, which are inspired by the “birth of Venus and metamorphosis in contemporary and ancient Greek culture.” The resulting designs include bold rings with warped silhouettes and rough, statement-making pieces linked with one another to create a necklace.

See the full photo project in the gallery above. You can head over to Di Petsa’s web store for the SS21 jewelry collection.
