Take a Detailed Look at sacai x Nike's VaporWaffle in "Royal Fuchsia" and "Black/White"
Finally dropping on November 13.
Last week, sacai and Nike finally announced when their highly anticipated VaporWaffle silhouette will be releasing. With the global launch date right around the corner, the Swoosh brand has unveiled official images of the sneaker‘s first drop.
Available in “Royal Fuchsia” and “Black and White,” the pair is a combination of the classic Pegasus from 1983 and the innovative Vaporfly. According to Nike, the “Royal Fuchsia” iteration was inspired by long-distance runner Joan Benoit Samuelson’s marathon win during the summer of 1984. Both uppers feature two Swooshes arriving in different textures, while the classic waffle outsoles come in an unconventional, chunky design – influenced by Chitose Abe‘s signature boundary-pushing aesthetic.
