Earlier this week, a video shared by model Owen Mooney went viral after being shared on TikTok, detailing his encounter with fashion designer Alexander Wang. Mooney describes meeting Wang in a New York City club, where the designer got flirty with the model and eventually groped him. Initially, Mooney shared the video without naming the designer, but following a lot of support and guesses from his followers, he revealed that the designer in question was in fact, Alexander Wang.

Mooney’s story went viral after it was picked up by Instagram account Shit Model Management (@shitmodelmgmt), with others also sharing similar stories about the designer. The submissions have all been anonymous, but cover everything from the designer’s inappropriate touching to drugging and slipping MDMA and purposely getting people to get drunk with him. A handful of stories from Transgender men and women have also surfaced, revealing that Wang has acted in transphobic ways including revealing their genitals and trying to take their clothes off.

Since being picked up by Shit Model Management, the story has also been shared by big accounts including Diet Prada, with even more stories and anecdotes coming up for air. The accounts have also noted that male and Transgender models are frequently overlooked when it comes to conversations of sexual assault within the modelling and fashion industries, and that their claims are frequently dismissed.

Alexander Wang has not yet responded to the allegations. See the posts from Shit Model Management and Diet Prada below.
