Apple Rumored To Release Mini-LED iPad Pro in 2021

The technology will provide users with richer colors and greater contrast.

Following news of the tech giant possibly developing its own electric car, Apple is now rumored to be releasing a mini-LED version of its iPad Pro in early 2021. As shared on Mac Rumors and Taiwanese publication DigiTimes, the company will be teaming up with GIS for mini-LED backlit panels. The iPad Pro will be able to provide richer colors for users with mini-LED technology, if the reports are true. The potential update will allow adjusting for greater contrast with darker blacks and brighter whites, additionally reducing the disadvantages of OLED displays, such as “burn-in” effects when a screen remains static for an extended period of time.

Apple has yet to confirm the news or announce its iPad lineup for 2021, but stay tuned as we learn more about the upcoming release.

In case you missed it, the tech company may also release the third generation of its AirPods.
