The Sundance Film Festival is scheduled to take place next year (January 29 to February 3) and has announced that it will take the virtual route due to the ongoing pandemic. According to Vulture, the Sundance Institute will gather the film industry’s best online or at select in-person satellite viewings to “participate in Q&As and screen competition films.”
Highlight titles include Passing, which stars Tessa Thompson, Ruth Negga, André Holland and Alexander Skarsgård. The movie follows the story of “two Black sisters who decide to ‘live on opposite sides of the color line.’” Elsewhere, expect to catch the premiere of On the Count of Three featuring Jerrod Carmichael, Christopher Abbott and Tiffany Haddish. How It Ends will also make its debut starring Zoe Lister-Jones, Olivia Wilde, Fred Armisen, Lamorne Morris and Helen Hunt.
