Kim Kardashian and Kanye West Quiz Each Other on Design and Family
For an ‘Architectural Digest’ interview at the couple’s minimalist home.
Pop culture’s favorite couple Kim Kardashian and Kanye West sat down with Architectural Digest in their ultra-minimalist Calabasas home for a light-hearted interview. In the video, the duo quiz each other on family life and their favorite features of the mansion. Interrupted by a surprise appearance by North West, the pair reveal that the inspiration behind the design of their house (which Kim has described as a “minimal monastery”) is their children.
When asked what the soundtrack of their house would be, both Kim and Kanye agree on music from West’s latest album, Jesus Is King. Kim discloses that the best room for selfies is the theater — “I like to use flash in a dark room,” she says — and also admits to never having used the pool, much to Kanye’s surprise.
Kanye explains that his favorite room of the house is his closet, and details future plans for it to resemble a clothing store. “When you go to a store you see everything that’s for sale…everything can be visible but still laid out in a really nice way. That lowers anxiety, just knowing where all your stuff is,” he says.
