Snoh Aalegra and Bella Hadid walked in designer Casey Cadwallader’s daring mesh bodysuits.
Mugler‘s Fall/Winter 2020 collection, shown earlier today at Paris Fashion Week, marks Casey Cadwallader’s eighth collection for the famed house. By now, devotees of the brand will have acclimated to Cadwallader’s architectural point of view (before tenures at Narciso Rodriguez, Loewe and Acne Studios, he studied architecture at Cornell University), a trademark the designer continues to showcase for FW20.
A surprisingly subdued range of leather and mesh separates are cut with body-hugging seams and paneling that echo the brand’s longstanding celebration of the female figure in all its sizes. Leather skirts in chocolate brown and black feature garter-like belts that swoop to one side, holding up similarly curved knee-highs, while sheer dresses are inset with strategically placed panels that highlight the bust and pelvis. Each garment effortlessly drapes over models — including Snoh Aalegra and Noah Carlos — of varying sizes.
