Hong Kong-Based Label Anaïs Jourden Presents a Virtual Fashion Show for FW20
Featuring custom Nike sneakers and apparel.
For the Fall/Winter 2020 season, Hong Kong-based designer Anaïs Mak resorted to technology to showcase the latest collection for her label Anaïs Jourden. With the ongoing impact of COVID-19 as well as the citywide protests that took place for more than six months the past year, the designer kept to the Paris Fashion Week schedule by projecting a simulated show with virtual models onto a large screen.
Inviting attendees to a large auditorium, Mak consulted animation artists to bring to life new patterns that were dressed on avatar models shown on the screen. The digital rendering featured six looks, while the rest of the outfits were dressed on real-life models who took the stage just in front of the projected screen. The collection pieces staying true to Mak’s feminine aesthetic were styled with Nike items including a Swoosh bra, as well as the Air Max 2090 and Air Force 1 silhouettes.
