UPDATE: Dior x Nike's Air Jordan 1 High Launch Has Been Postponed
In light of global health concerns.
UPDATE (March 17, 2020): In response to global concerns surrounding the outbreak of novel coronavirus, Dior and Nike have decided to postpone the launch of their collaborative Air Jordan 1 High. The buzzy silhouette was scheduled to release through a draw system at the end of March.
The international draw was also set to include exclusive access to a number of global Dior pop-up locations, whose openings have also postponed. An official statement released by Dior reads, “A new date for the Air Dior launch and for the pop-ups dedicated to this unique collaboration will be announced in function of how this situation evolves.”
Stay tuned for further updates from Dior and Nike.
ORIGINAL STORY (March 9, 2020): While we took a closer look at the highly anticipated Dior x Nike Air Jordan 1 High sneaker back in December, additional imagery of the shoe has emerged, revealing that it will be limited to 8,500 pairs only. The shoe will additionally see a release through a potential draw system towards the end of this month.
Sneaker insider Jean Carlos, otherwise known by his handle @solebyjc, took to Instagram Stories over the weekend to share a new look at the sneaker, which he’s already copped. The inside of the ankle shows a number patch that reads “2058/8500,” suggesting that each pair will be individually numbered up to 8,500. A source has confirmed with HYPEBEAST that this information is accurate, but no details on the Low silhouette have been revealed just yet.
According to a leaked image found on Sneaker News, those willing to cop the upcoming Dior and Nike collaboration can expect the shoe to roll out through a lottery-like draw system, which runs from March 23 to 24 with the winner announcement being made via email on March 26.
